Marketing first and foremost has to be from the perspective of your audience. And even if you look at your marketing materials that your agency or their marketing partners produce, if most of your messages aren’t starting with some form of the word “you” to say this is what’s in it for you, then you need to reevaluate.
What Hospice Board Members Should Know About Sales and Marketing
Hospice board members should be knowledgeable enough to ensure that an effective marketing and sales plan is in place, but not meddle in operational decision-making. In this Hospice Governance Academy Spotlight Interview, Bill Musick, President of Integriti3D, talks with Stan Massey, Partner and Chief Branding Officer at Transcend Strategy Group, and Mike Ferris, Managing Partner of Healthcare Strategica. They focus on what hospice board members should know and focus on in the boardroom when it comes to sales and marketing.
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen situations where the organization is just very happy because they have this nice steady long-term growth pattern, and then only to discover that in fact their market share has gone from 70% to 30%, and they never dug that next level down. So, I think having access to what your market share is and monitoring that is critical.
